If you love good food and a vibrant atmosphere, clear your calendar—EAT Festival is back, bringing the best of Merimbula’s food scene to the water’s edge. Picture this: award-winning chefs, boutique distilleries, ocean-fresh seafood, and artisan bakers, all in one place, ready to serve up the region’s best flavours.

The Essentials

  • When? Sunday, 9 March 2025 | 10 AM – 2 PM

  • Where? The foreshore of Merimbula Lake, Fishpen Road

  • Entry? Free (yes, really)

  • Food? Every dish is capped at $15 (more bites, less guilt)

For one day only, Merimbula’s foreshore transforms into a bustling open-air feast. Expect top-tier offerings from Valentina, craft spirits from North of Eden, and inventive bites from Bar Monti and Umiko—all with unbeatable waterfront views.

More Than Just Sunday

The festival isn’t a one-day wonder—it’s a four-day indulgence, running from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 March. Here’s what’s happening:

Photography Destination NSW

  • Gin Masterclass at North of Eden – blend your own botanicals.

  • Oyster Shucking Workshop at Broadwater – learn the art of the perfect shuck.

  • Exclusive Festival Dinners at Toast & Tidal – where local ingredients shine.

  • Whisky Launch at Nine Circles Distillery – smooth sips and good company.

  • Pizza Night at Drift – because woodfired pizza just hits different.

And then there’s the EAT Oyster & Spoon Race—a hilarious, highly entertaining showdown where chefs and food personalities run a relay in waders, carefully balancing their oysters. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this.

The Must-Try List

This year’s lineup is packed with flavours. Expect lobster rolls, woodfired pizza, smoked brisket, Japanese gyoza, beef and bean nachos, and Eastwood’s famous doughnuts. Oh, and fresh local rock oysters—shucked fresh all day.

For drinks? From local gin and craft beer to kombucha, spritzes, and fresh lemonade, there’s something for every kind of sipper.

Why You Should Go

EAT Festival isn’t just about the food—it’s about celebrating the coastal lifestyle, local producers, and the pure joy of discovering your next favourite bite.

It’s where you get to chat with the faces behind the food, sample incredible flavours, and soak up the relaxed, lively atmosphere that makes Merimbula such a gem.

So, are you ready to dig in? Because we definitely are.
